Greece’s 14-man squad for upcoming FIBA window

Greece will finish up its FIBA World Cup qualifiers with two matches in FIBA’s last 2018-19 window.

Thanasis Skourtopoulos named Greece’s 14-man squad ahead of the home match with Georgia on February 21st and the away game with Germany on February 24th. The Greek Federation announced the Greek National Team’s roster for its two final FIBA World Cup qualification games on Monday. It’s worth reminding that Greece has already secured a spot in the final stage of the World Cup.

Giannis Athinaiou, Lefteris Bochoridis, Giannis Bourousis, Linos Chrysikopoulos, Nikos Gkikas, Dimitris Kaklamanakis, Leonidas Kaselakis, Dimitris Katsivelis, Antonis Koniaris, Giannoulis Larentzakis, Vangelis Margaritis, Dimitris Mavroeidis, Christos Saloustros and Panagiotis Vasilopoulos are in the list.

All players besides Larentzakis will start preparing for the two games on Feburary 18th. AEK’s player will join his teammates two days later upon his return from Brazil, where he will travel with the Basketball Champions League title holders for the 2019 FIBA Intercontinental Cup.
