He’s been without a team at club level, but Milos Teodosic is ready to up his game and help Serbia in the 2019 FIBA World Cup. Interviewed by FIBA, the 32-year-old guard talked about his National Team’s strength and depth, his initial goals for China and his influence in the locker room.

“The first goal is to get to the preparations healthy” he pointed out and added: “Regarding the World Cup, it’s too early to talk about medals or qualifying for the Olympic Games. I have already said this, if we play like we know and fight like we can, we will get good results.”

Asked if Serbia will have all the best players at China, he replied: “I believe so. I just hope there will be no injuries this year so we don’t have problems with that. I think there’s a chance everyone will be there.”

On the relationships between the players, he explained: “If there’s something to discuss with any of the players, of course I will do it, but it will be among us only. That’s the way we will handle things. Not publicly.”

“It’s unusual, I’m not used to that” he mentioned on being without a team at club level and went on: “I just hope it will be the last time it happens. But, it is what it is. I’ve rested enough and now it’s time for me to work. I have to focus on work, on basketball, to use this free time before preparations start the best possible way.”
