Mathias Lessort missed the last couple of practice sessions of the French National Team due to sprained ankle, the French Basketball Federation, FFBB, informed via press release. The injury is not considered serious, but will likely hold the 23-year-old big out of France’s first friendly game ahead of the 2019 FIBA World Cup.

Nando De Colo and Axel Toupane are still out rehabbing from a right calf injury. However, the rest of the players are available for Monday’s friendly match versus Turkey at Pau, the first of eight prior to the World Cup. A pair of games versus Tunisia on Tuesday at Pau and on Wednesday at Toulouse will follow.

The French national team is in Group G of the World Cup, which will take place at Shenzhen. Germany on September 1st, Jordan on September 3rd and the Dominican Republic on September 5th are the opponents for the first stage of the tournament.
