Serbia’s World Cup preliminary roster cut to 14 players

The roster of the Serbian national team now features 14 players.

Serbia head coach Sasha Djordjevic cut Dejan Todorovic, Aleksa Avramovic and Nikola Jovanovic from the preliminary squad of the national team ahead of the 2019 World Cup, the Serbian federation announced.

The roster of the national team now includes the following 14 players: Milos Teodosic, Stefan Jovic, Vasilije Micic, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Dragan Milosavljevic, Marko Guduric, Vladimir Lucic, Marko Simonovic, Nemanja Bjelica, Stefan Bircevic, Nikola Jokic, Miroslav Raduljica, Nikola Mulutinov and Boban Marjanovic. Two more cuts are expected before the launch of the World Cup (31/8- 15/9).

Serbia will face Lithuania Saturday in Belgrade’s Stark arena. The Lithuanian side will host Serbia in Kaunas on August 12. The Serbian national team will finish its preparation in the Akropolis Cup Tournament in Athens. Greece, facing the tournament hosts, Italy and Turkey.
