Xavier Cooks picked up a serious knee injury and was ruled out of the 2019 FIBA World Cup. According to Olgun Uluc of FOX Sports Australia, Mitch Creek will return to the Boomers shortly after being cut from the final squad to replace the 27-year-old swingman of SIG Strasbourg.

Aron Baynes, Andrew Bogut, Jonah Bolden, Matthew Dellavedova, Cameron Gliddon, Chris Goulding, Joe Ingles, Nicholas Kay, Jock Landale, Patty Mills and Nathan Sobey are the rest of the players that will represent Australia in the World Cup set to take place between August 31st and September 15th at China.

The Australians are set for a couple of two-game home series against Canada on August 16th and August 17th at Perth, and versus USA on August 22nd and August 24th at Melbourne. Afterwards, they will battle Canada, Senegal and Lithuania in World Cup Group H action at Dongguan.
