Dennis Schroder saved the best for last in the VTG Supercup as Germany got the 92-84 win over Poland on a game decided in the last period.
Schroder once more proved to be the natural leader of this version of the German national team with 33 points, nine assists and five rebounds.
Daniel Theis added 17 points and Paul Zipser had 10 for the winning side.
Poland got 16 points from Mateusz Ponitka and 16 from Adam Waczyński but despite a good start and a one-point lead at the start of the last period (62-61) couldn’t get the job done.
