China put on a strong comeback effort in the fourth quarter but Brazil managed to hold on for a 73-70 win, second straight prep win over the Chinese squad.
Leandro Barbosa led the way with 14 points while Marquinhos Vieira followed with 13 in addition to Rafa Luz and Cristiano Felicio’s ten points each.
For China, Zhao Rui scored 13 while Zhai Xiaochuan helped with ten points.
Brazil had complete control during the first three quarters. They were up 22-17 after ten minutes and 43-32 at halftime. In front of the final period, they were ahead 62-45 but China won the fourth quarter 25-11 and made things interesting although Brazil still came out victorious.
