Spain head coach Sergio Scariolo said that Marc Gasol is doubtful for the game against Russia, the team’s last preparation match before the World Cup, due to some stomach problems.
“Marc has stomach problems. He was feeling very weak before the game (vs. Argentina) and we don’t know anything about tomorrow,” Scariolo said following the win over Argentina, per Marca.
While Spain lacked Gasol, Argentina was minus Facu Campazzo. The Real Madrid guard suffered an ankle sprain in the game of his team against Russia.
“It was a good day of testing and of playing without two important reference players such as Campazzo and Gasol,” Scariolo said. “I believe in both cases, there have been more positive than negative notes. Argentina has been a very tough opponent.”
