Aleksandr Platunov and Artem Zabelin didn’t make the final cut

After getting a convincing win over Spain in their last prep game, Russia’s coach Sergei Bazarevich decided on the 12 players who will make the final roster of the national team.

Russia’s squad at the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China will feature the following players: Evgeny Baburin, Mikhail Kulagin, Grigory Motovilov, Andrey Sopin, Vitaly Fridzon, Semen Antonov, Andrey Vorontsevich, Andrey Zubkov, Sergey Karasev, Nikita Kurbanov, Evgeny Valiev, Vladimir Ivlev.

Russia will play in World Cup Group B against Argentina, Nigeria and Korea.
