A discussion has begun within the Greek Basketball Federation regarding the last play of the game between Greece and Brazil.

With two seconds left to play in regulation and Brazil up 79 – 76, Greece guard Kostas Sloukas was awarded three free throws. He made the first two and when he missed the third, Brazil’s Bruno Caboclo interfered to tip the ball away from the basket, thus securing the win for his team.

According to the replay, Caboclo first touches the rim and then the ball, something which may constitute an illegal interference. The Greek Federation is examining the play but so far, there hasn’t been any move for any protest.
