Marius Grigonis was the best scorer for Lithuania but he didn’t like the physicality allowed in the game vs. Australia

Marius Grigonis managed to bank team-high 19 points against Australia but it wasn’t enough for the Lithuanian side. And the 25-year-old guard wasn’t happy with the referees’ criteria:

“This was not basketball. Referees let us play in Australian way: it was too physical. It took me out of my rhythm. But I don’t want to put in only on refs. Australians were better.”, he said, per Donatas Urbonas.

Despite the loss vs. the ‘Boomers’, Lithuania advanced to the Second Round with two wins and will play in Group L together with Australia, France and the Dominican Republic.
