Tunisia gets an important win in the race for a 2020 Olympics ticket

Tunisia got an important 86-67 win over the Philippines in the Classification Round and now top FIBA World Cup Group N with a 2-2 record. The Philippines are still without a win (0-4).

Omar Abada led the way with 16 points followed by Michael Roll’s 13 and Salah Mejri’s 12 points. Mejri also grabbed 12 boards for a double-double.

Adray Blatche logged game-high 24 points for the Philippines while also adding 11 rebounds. Troy Rosario helped with eight and Mark Barroca seven points.

Tunisia got the job done already in the first half. They were up 27-10 after the first quarter and 46-24 at halftime. They kept going after the break and led by as much as 28 points (70-42) but Blatche managed to soften the blow for the Philippines at the end.
