The two Spanish powerhouses don’t want to mess up with their schedule in spite of the Euroleague’s plan for next season. And the Spanish ACB league is not happy with the idea of games on Mondays

Euroleague’s plan to held games on Fridays is ambitious, but at the same time it’s… questionable. So far there hasn’t been an agreement with the leagues from the countries that take part in Euroleague and ACB doesn’t show… strong willingness to cooperate.

ACB league has decided that no games will be played on Mondays (even if any Spanish team has previously played on Friday for Euroleague) and at the same time Barcelona and Real Madrid have informed Euroleague that they will play only on Thursdays and never on Fridays.

It’s possible that before the conclusion of this season, there will be further reaction not only from Spanish, but also from clubs from other European countries.
