Thanasis Giannakopoulos is banned from entering Greek gyms for the next month. But this decision of the athletic judge of HEBA does not apply to Euroleague games and tonight the co-owner of Panathinaikos will be in OAKA to see the match against Maccabi Tel Aviv

The co-owner of Panathinaikos Thanasis Giannakopoulos for the next month will not have the right to attend Greek league games. After the official protest of Olympiacos to the athletic judge of HEBA (Hellenic Basketball Clubs Association) the Green boss is banned from entrance in every Greek gym for 30 days.

The cause of this banishment (and also of a 5.000 euros fine) are his statements in the security meeting for the Greek cup final that were considered insulting for the sport of basketball. He will have the right to be in the stands of OAKA again at the 20th of April.

Of course in a few hours he will also be there to see his beloved team squaring off against Maccabi Tel Aviv, because the banishment does not apply to Euroleague games. Last night, in the official press conference of coach Zeliko Obradovic for the game, mr. Giannakopoulos predicted that his team will qualify to the Final Four, but Olympiacos won’t.
