Greek federation is creating a second National team which will face the “boomers” and Italy. The idea is to create a bigger pool of players that will be groomed in order to be members of the first National team in the immediate future

A great idea of the Greek Federation is about to be materialized. A second Men’s National team will be created and will play against top Men’s teams during next summer. Head coach of this second Men’s team will be Kostas Missas and there are already been scheduled some “strong” friendly games. Greece will face twice in Athens the national team of Italy and then will travel to Australia for three friendly games against the “boomers”!

The oldest player will be born in 1988 and the youngest in 1991. Players like Vlado Jankovic (photo), Zisis Sarikopoulos and Vasilis Kavadas from Panionios will be selected and also Dimitris Katsivelis from Olympiacos, Giorgos Bogris and Mihalis Tsairelis from Aris.
