The fight between Olympiacos and Panathinaikos football presidents during the meeting of the board of the Greek league, in which heavy words were used, a glass of water was thrown and a Panathinaikos representative was hit, are leading the new goverment to the decision to postpone indefinitely every game in every team sport in the country.

According to the latest infos, deputy minister of sports Stavros Kodonis has already met with prime minister Alexis Tsipras and tomorrow the final decision will be announced. Even if the main issue seems to be the Greek football, the rivalry between the two biggest clubs of the country is edgier than ever and every domestic professional sport activity is expected to be shut down.

Of course this is a new low for the Greek football and basketball may also pay a heavy price, even if this crisis has nothing to do directly with the sport.
