Zeljko Obradovic leads Fenerbahce to the top of its Group in the Top 16 and the omens say that his team will at least participate in the Euroleague Final Four.

The Serbian legend coach prepares his plans for the playoffs, as soon as Fenerbahce has already qualified to the quarterfinals. Τhis is only the second time (after 2008) that the Turkish team makes it since 2001, during the new era of the Euroleague.

Among others, Fenerbahce has one more reason to hope for success this season in Madrid. In the odd years of his career, Zoc qualified to the Final Four the six out of seven times he coached a Euroleague team, one of them lost the final and four of them won the trophy with Panathinaikos and Real Madrid. Furthrmore, Obradovic won in the odd years two Saporta Cups with Benetton and Real Madrid.

The only season that he didn’t make it to the Final Four was in 2003, when Panathinaikos eliminated in the Top 16. Also, in 1993, his first “odd coaching year”, one season after the triumphant of Partizan in Istanbul, he didn’t take part in the Euroleague, as a result of the ban due to the war in Yugoslavia.

Will Zeljko Obradovic keep his tradition this season with Fenerbahce?
