After the end of the game against Alba Berlin Pini Gershon went to the stands, took a fan of the European champions on his shoulders and for some seconds celebrated with him the qualify for the quarterfinals of the Euroleague! This is one more “madness” of the big career of Pini Gershon, who talked to Eurohoops – in a really interesting interview which you are going to read next days – revealed the identity of the unknown man, whether it was preplanned and the reasons of what happened. Of course after our question about the qualification for the Euroleague Final Four and whether he could do the same with “big sofo”, he responded as only he knows.
“This man came to me before a very important game and he told me that we are going to win this game 17 points and that happened. He came to me on Wednesday (8/4) and I asked him what is going to happen against Alba Berlin. He said that we will win this game by 9 points. I said if we win 9 points just open your legs and I will be under. At the end of the game he was next to me and he shouted me to look at the score board. I thought that I had no choice (laughs)”.
Would you do the same with “Big Sofo” in case you qualify for the Euroleague Final Four?
“Yes of course, no problem. I would do it even if I should go on 5 or 6 legs. I would take Sofo on my back”!
