According to a SDNA.gr report, yesterday’s statement of Dimitris Giannakopoulos for “crutches” of CSKA – meaning the referees of the game – was just the tip of the iceberg, according to the refs’ report from the game.
In the document which is already send to the Euroleague “Dimitris Giannakopoulos in the company of two security men entered the referees’ locker rooms, threw a decorative candle to Turkish referee Recep Ankarali, he cursed at the them and threatened them”.
The report includes a photo of the candle and the reaction of Euroleague and probably a punishment of Giannakopoulos is expected. It has to be noted that Dimitris Giannakopoulos has no official connection with Panathinaikos from the end of 2014.
