Giannis Antetokounmpo is an international NBA star and that was proven in the Philippines from where he wrote the newest entry of his blog.

The Greek freak is already an ambassador of the NBA, the Milwaukee Bucks and Greek basketball all over the world. And there’s no doubt about it after his visit to Manila as he wrote on his Eurohoops official blog.

Hello world!

Travelling to places in which I would never have the chance to go, is one of the many reasons that made me love basketball. I like to meet and enjoy new cultures and civilizations and I am more than lucky for the chance to visit the Philippines. I already knew that they also love basketball in this country and now I am more than certain.

The Philippines are one of the biggest markets for the NBA with hardcore fans and passion for the sport. I was aware of it, but now I have seen it myself! I got much love and I am really enjoying my time here!

Giannis met the fans at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City on Sunday, July 23, in a meet and greet event and as you can see in the photos the venue was packed! The event included exhibition drills with PBA players Gabe Norwood and Ranidel de Ocampo along and college basketball stars Vince Tolentino, Marco Sario and Thomas Torres.

“The Greek Freak Invades Manila” tour also benefited the Makati Science High School and students of the school participated in a match of a 3-on-3 tournament during the event. Antetokounmpo met the students and offered advise to the young players who had the chance to get up close and personal with the Greek superstar.

The next stop for Giannis is going to be Greece again! The training camp of the national team is about to start and Giannis is ready for the upcoming Eurobasket!
