Panathinaikos put on a strong reaction in Greece.

Panathinaikos crushed Ionikos Nikaia 110 – 65 on the road in the game that concluded Round 20 in the Greek League regular season. The “Greens” bounced back from the loss to CSKA Moscow – their worst in the modern EuroLeague era – and improved to 18 – 2.

Jacob Wiley scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Nikos Persidis had 15 points for Panathinaikos. DeShaun Thomas added 14 points plus seven rebounds and Jimmer Fredette 14 points. Rick Pitino’s squad scored 67 in the first half en route to the blowout win.

Only Vincent Simpson (22 points) scored in double figures for Ionikos that dropped to 8 – 12.

Second-placed AEK Athens made short work of Iraklis Thessaloniki at home. Meanwhile, Peristeri sank PAOK Thessaloniki closer to elimination, at 5-15. Fellow Thessaloniki side Aris took a potentially decisive victory over Ifaistos Limnos to rise to 6-14.
