Mario Chalmers is scheduled to soon arrive in Thessaloniki and officially join Aris, his second Greek team following his run with AEK last season.
The two-time NBA champion with the Miami Heat and NCAA champion with Kansas welcomed the opportunity to return to Greece. In a recent interview, he indeed stated his desire to return to the country.
Since landing in Europe a couple of years ago, Chalmers added to his list of championships helping Segafredo Virtus Bologna capture the 2018-19 Basketball Champions League title.
The following season moved his talents to Greece for AEK. He won the Greek Cup, put up 6.0 points, 2.2 assists, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per BCL match, and also scored 6.1 points per game at the domestic level.
