AEK, Peristeri and Mesologgi register respective victories on the second day of the Greek Basket League

The second day of the Greek Basket League tipped off with Mesologgi, Peristeri and AEK Athens registering their second victory, while the game between PAOK and Lavrio had to be suspended following the multiple positive COVID cases in the latter team.

Kolossos Rhodes – Mesologgi 66 – 77

Devonte Green led all scorers of the game with 21 points, three assists and two rebounds for the winning side. Giannis Agravanis and Richard Amardi followed with 13 and 12 points respectively.

On the opposing end, Kerem Kanter paced Kolossos with 15 points, four rebounds, Jaquan Lyle had 13 points and Dominic Artis added 11 points and five assists.

Ionikos – Peristeri 75-80

Peristeri registered its second victory of the season on the road against Ionikos behind another great performance by Steven Gray, who led his team to victory with 18 points, four rebounds and three assists. Tre Mc Lean added 15 points and Marvin Jones finished the game with 11 points, six boards.

Vassilis Toliopoulos had a game-high with 20 points for the hosts, as Adam Smith posted 17 points.

AEK – Larisa 87-68

Back-to-back victories for AEK upon the break of the new season, as Yannick Moreira took charge with 20 points and six boards. Keith Langford posted 16 points, as Linos Chrysikopoulos and Matt Lojeski shared 13 points each.

Shaquille Goodwin paced the visitors with a team-high of 14 points and 8 boards, Spyros Mourtos added 11 points and James Webb had 10 points and 8 boards.

Aris – Iraklis 81-75

Quenton DeCosey registered 20 points in the delayed matchup between the two teams based in Thessaloniki numbing his side to the “W”. On the other side, Olivier Hanlan posted 17 points.

PAOK – Lavrio Megabolt 83-65

The delayed contest got the team based in Thessaloniki off the mark after two previous defeats. Captain Vangelis Margaritis posted a team-high 13 points. Lavrio’s Alpha Diallo went for 14.
