A day of several upsets in Greece’s Basket League

Basket League Regular Season Round 16 resumed action in the Greek league following the national team’s break. AEK secured the 98-76 victory over Messolonghi Baxi connecting 16 triples on Saturday. Daryl Macon hit four on his way to a game-high 20 points. The Queen is up 11-4.

Promitheas fell to 9-5 after dropping its away game against PAOK, 81-78. Elston Turner Jr. made all the difference with 28 points to lift his side to 8-7. Jerian Grant and Jawun Evans shared a team-high 13 points for the losing side.

Iraklis drew up another upset earlier beating Peristeri, 79-70. Josh Hagins led the way with 17 points. Terran Petteway also posted 17 points but for the hosts down 9-7.

Panathinaikos OPAP at 11-2 and Lavrio Megabolt at 10-4 are in action on Sunday visiting Kolossos H Hotels and Ionikos Hellenic Coin, respectively.
