Panathinaikos used a strong second half to get a 1-0 lead against Ionikos in Game 1 of the Greek League quarterfinals

Ioannis Papapetrou posted 23 points and 5 rebounds to lead Panathinaikos to a 100-64 victory over Ionikos in the Greek Basket League quarterfinals opener.

Konstantinos Mitoglou followed with 18 points and 10 rebounds coming from the bench and Ben Bentil posted 10 points for the Greens.

Ionikos started the game on a good note, though the Greens managed to turn the tables in the second half and expand their lead up to 36 points. Michael Holyfield led the way for the visitors with 12 points, while Jeremy Hollowell and Vasilis Toliopoulos had 11 points each.

Game 2 of the series will take place May 14 (19:00 CET).
