A big, historic win for Lavrio over Panathinaikos after a comeback.

Lavrio BC defeated Panathinaikos Athens 94 – 89 in overtime in Game 2 of the Greek League Finals to grab a historic, first-ever win in a championship series. The Finals score is now tied at 1-1.

Tyson Carter hit the game-tying 3-pointer from deep near the end of regulation and finished with 20 points plus six assists. Vassilis Mouratos had 19 points, including the tough go-ahead triple in overtime, while Petros Geromihalos dropped 14 points and made the pair of free throws that sealed the win of Lavrio with 16 seconds to play. Their team came back from down 53 – 63 late in the third quarter to even grab a 78 – 75 lead before the game went to overtime.

TJ Bray (18 points) and Mario Hezonja (18 points) were the top scorers of Panathinaikos. The latter scored six straight points in the last minutes of the regulation and had a chance to win the game with the score tied at 81 but his jumper went off target.
