The Greek SuperCup tipped off with Panathinaikos getting a 74-61 win against Lavrio, led by the outstanding performance of Okaro White.
White banked in 23 points on 10-16 shooting while also grabbing 11 rebounds. Kendrick Perry followed with 12 points while Daryl Macon scored eight.
Lavrio made a huge 17-0 run at the end of the third and the start of the fourth quarter, making things more interesting as they cut the deficit from 20 (53-33) to just three points (53-50). However, PAO woke up and didn’t allow any further surprises.
Jerry Smith scored 17 and Kenny Goins 14 points for the losing side.
PAO advanced to the Final where they will clash against Promitheas which got the better of AEK Athens with 88-71. Kendrick Ray scored 19 for the winning team while Nikos Rogkavopoulos added 16 and Dario Hunt 15 points.
For AEK, Manny Harris scored 16 and Braian Angola 15 points.
