Larissa forced Panathinaikos to a very rare loss in the Greek League playoffs.

Larissa BC beat Panathinaikos 84 – 77 at home to register its first-ever win in the Greek League semifinals. The best-of-five series is now 1-1 and the next game will be hosted by Panathinaikos at OAKA.

Devonte Green led the offense of Larissa with 19 points. Ousman Krubally posted 16 points, 12 rebounds and five assists while Stephan Moody scored 14 and Marin Maric had 10 points plus seven rebounds for the winning side that led even by 26 points (43-17) in the first half.

Panathinaikos came back in the game and approached by a shooting distance when Ioannis Papapetrou scored for the 73 – 70 with four minutes to play. The captain of the Greens also made it 75 – 73 but Larissa responded with a 7 – 2 run and managed to stay safe until the final buzzer.

Daryl Macon Jr. scored a game-high 27 points for Panathinaikos while Papapetrou had 19 points and five rebounds.
