Celebrating 30 years since the top division of Greece become a fully professional competition, 30 top players were inducted into the Hall of Fame

HEBA, Hellenic Basketball Clubs Association, the governing body of Greece’s Basket League symbolically made a tribute to 30 legends of the Greek Basket League, according to fan votes.

Opening Sunday’s schedule, before focusing on the main event and the 25th All-Star Game pitting Team Vezenkov and Team Papagiannis against each other, celebrating 30 years since the Greek League turned professional, a pleasant touch of 30 players were inducted into the HEBA Hall of Fame.

Apart from the 30 players all with a lasting effect on the history of basketball in Greece, the Greek League’s winningest head coaches were recognized as well. Giannis Ioannidis, Zeljko Obradovic, and posthumously Dusan Ivkovic.

The announcement was part of the first Greek All-Star Game after the COVID pandemic which ended with Team Vezenkov beating Team Papagiannis 137-112 and Sasha Vezenkov being named the MVP after scoring 18 points.
