Thomas Walkup had his highest-scoring game with the Olympiacos Piraeus jersey, dropping 20 points to push his team to a 92 – 75 win over Promitheas Patras in the Greek League. The Reds are now 5-1 while the Patras side dropped to 4-2.

Walkup, who was coming off some rough performances in the EuroLeague, shot 8-9 from the field, including 4-5 triples in 22:11. Moustapha Fall had 18 points and eight rebounds in 28:26, getting once again a lot of minutes in the absence of injured center Nikola Miloutinov. Alec Peters scored 14 and Kostas Papanikolaou added 11 points.

Anthony Cowan Jr. dropped 20 points and Hunter Hale had 13 points for Promitheas. Their team, as coach Ilias Papatheodorou later admitted, was competitive only in the first quarter (19-17) since Olympiacos closed halftime up 51 – 39 and then built an advantage of even 26 points to ultimately get a comfortable victory.

Olympiacos will now look to react after back-to-back EuroLeague losses, playing Maccabi Tel Aviv on the road Tuesday (14/11) and then hosting Crvena Zvezda and former coach Giannis Sfairopoulos Thursday.
