Before the next two-game week of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season,  Panathinaikos Aktor and Olympiacos prevailed in Round 9 of Greece’s Stoiximan Basket League Regular Season on Saturday.

Ergin Ataman’s side went up to 9-0 with a home win, 77-53, against Karditsa Iaponiki. In his best performance since joining the Greens, Kostas Antetokounmpo made 7/7 two-pointers piling up 20 points, a new individual high for the 2023-24 season alongside eight rebounds and three blocks. Luca Vildoza followed with 15 points and eight assists. Juancho Hernangomez, Mathias Lessort, Dimitris Moraitis, and Ioannis Papapetrou were sidelined for various reasons, and Konstantinos Mitoglou did not play.

Earlier, Olympiacos strolled past Lavrio Megabolt with Ignas Brazdeikis improving his season-high to 16 points. Securing an eighth win in nine domestic affairs, they trail archrival Panathinaikos by one point. Shaquielle McKissic, Naz Mitrou-Long, Filip Petrusev, and Nigel Williams-Goss were unavailable for the team coached by Giorgos Bartzokas.

Hunter Hale inspires Promitheas

In an exciting Basket League game between Basketball Champions League participants, Promitheas held on to defeat AEK Betsson, 100-95, in Patras. Hunter Hale matched his season-high with 32 points in the high-scoring affair.
