Olympiacos Piraeus scored in the third period almost as many points the team had in the first half to ultimately down Kolossos Rhodes 71 – 52. The Reds are now 13-1 while their opponents dropped to 5-9.

Nikola Milutinov posted 18 points and 15 rebounds and Alec Peters had 15 points plus five boards for an Olympiacos team that trailed 27 – 32 at halftime, thanks to both Kolossos’ tough defense and their own shooting inefficiency.

Everything changed after the break as Olympiacos had a strong third quarter to go up 50 – 44. The reigning champions, that were minus injured big men Moustapha Fall and Filip Petrusev, proceeded to establish a lead around double figures and increase the margin to even 21 points down the stretch.

Drew Goudelock (14 points) and London Perrantes (10 points) stood out from Kolossos.

After the game, Olympiacos coach Giorgos Bartzokas said that Fall is doubtful to play in the upcoming EuroLeague game against Maccabi Tel Aviv Thursday (18/1).
