Panathinaikos blows out Promitheas to conclude regular season

Panathinaikos put on a powerful performance and rested players at the same time against Promitheas.

With six players scoring in double figures, Panathinaikos Athens defeated Promitheas Patras 93 – 62 to close the Greek League regular season at 21-1 and the first place in the standings.

Ioannis Papapetrou scored 14 points on 6-6 shots for Panathinaikos while Juancho Hernangomez finished with 13 points, four rebounds and four assists. Kendrick Nunn produced 12 points plus five assists and Dimitris Moraitis had 12 points along with four rebounds for the Greens. There was a lot of rotation by Ergin Ataman since only Papapetrou played more than 22 minutes.

Hunter Hale posted 14 points and four rebounds while George Pappas scored 13 for a Promitheas team that wasn’t competitive enough a couple of days after advancing to the Basketball Champions League quarterfinals.
