Panathinaikos Athens defeated Promitheas Patras 101 – 69 at home in Game 1 of the Greek League semifinals between the two sides.
Juancho Hernangomez scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds, hitting four out of his 5-5 triples in the first period to set the tone for Panathinaikos. Omer Yurtseven added 15 points plus five rebounds as every players of the Greens who entered the game scored.
Only Ioannis Papapetrou (7 points in 23:23) and Yurtseven (21:10) spent more than 20 minutes on the floor as Ergin Ataman made a lot of rotation.
Michalis Lountzis led Promitheas with 16 points. The Patras side was without leading scorer Jordan Walker and Isaiah Reece due to injuries.
Game 2 of the best-of-three series will be hosted by Promitheas Wednesday (14/5).
