Koroivos Amaliadas took a valuable victory against Kifissia, 87 – 77, thus getting further from the dangerous elimination spots in the standings of the Greek Basket League. This win came mainly through the massive help of Darrel Harris who was named MVP of the Week.
The American center scored 26 points, grabbed 11 rebounds (7 of them offensive) and won 8 fouls from his opponents, for an impressive number of 35 in the ranking system. That was his fifth double/double and it came at a match that his team needed to win… badly!
“I would not have made it without my teammates. We keep fighting even after losing 6 games in a row” said Harris about his achievement. “In such a competitive league, every match is open to any result. As long as we keep united and play as a team we can do anything”, added the American center of Koroivos.
