Olympiacos guard Evan Fournier was disqualified during the 21st round of the Stoiximan GBL after a confrontation with a Panionios fan in Glyfada.
The incident occurred in the 14th minute (score 21-28) at the “Makis Liougas” arena when Fournier reacted to something shouted by a fan seated courtside, moving threateningly toward him after an earlier verbal exchange.
The situation quickly escalated but was contained thanks to the intervention of level-headed players like Thomas Walkup.
The 33-year-old French star was ejected from the game, while the fan involved was removed from the arena.
Αποβληθηκαν και οι δύο #fournier #olympiacosbc pic.twitter.com/V3CrPJYBFC

Still, that didn’t stop Olympiacos from securing a 79–71 victory, with Sasha Vezenkov returning to the lineup and leading the way.
Vezenkov finished with 24 points and eight rebounds, while Tyrique Jones flirted with a double-double, posting 11 points and eight boards as the Piraeus side improved to 20–0.
For Panionios B.C., Joe Thomasson led the scoring with 21 points, while Georgios Tsalmpouris added 12.
At the end of the game, coach Giorgos Bartzokas also had a verbal incident with Panionios fans, something that happened also last year.
