Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo are heading to Thessaloniki this weekend to support their brother, Kostas, in a key game of the 2025-26 Stoiximan GBL Regular Season.

The brothers, who recently concluded their NBA season with the Milwaukee Bucks, will be joined by Aris Betsson owner and close associate Richard Hsiao for the clash with Panionios Cosmorama Travel at the historic Nick Galis Hall, also known as Palais de Sports or Alexandreio Melathron, on Saturday.

Team officials confirmed the high-profile visit today, noting that the Antetokounmpo brothers are utilizing their offseason break to return to Greece and follow Kostas’s progress in the domestic league.

The visit comes at the regular-season finale of the Greek League, with Aris currently locked in a heated battle for a top-four seed. They face a must-win game against Peristeri Betsson tomorrow, Wednesday, at the Peristeri Indoor Hall Andreas Papandreou, before welcoming the Antetokounmpo family.

On the opposite side, the stakes are even higher for Panionios. Currently rooted to the bottom of the table, the visiting side faces the immediate threat of relegation, with a loss on Saturday likely sealing their demotion from the top flight.

Despite an injury-shortened 2025-26 journey, where he averaged 27.6 points and 9.8 rebounds, Giannis remains the focal point of the basketball world, yet his focus this weekend shifts entirely to family. As Kostas, the first Greek-born player to secure an NBA title, takes the floor, the collective presence of the championship-winning brothers confirms once more the deep ties the family maintains with Greek basketball.
