Panathinaikos achieved victory in a thrilling Game 4 of the Greek finals, defeating Olympiacos 93-86 at the Telekom Center after two overtimes.

One of the craziest matches of the season was played in Athens, and although at times it seemed that PAO was defeated, Ergin Ataman’s team came back and forced a Game 5.

Kendrick Nunn was the top scorer with 23 points, TJ Shorts added 13, and it was he who decided the game in the second overtime. Nigel Hayes-Davis scored 12 points along with seven rebounds, while Vasileios Toliopoulos, another hero of the game, contributed 11 points.

On the other side, Evan Fournier scored 29 points, but his misses in overtime cost Olympiacos. Thomas Walkup added 19 points, and Sasha Vezenkov scored 14.

Most of the game was an even battle, and the decision came in the final moments. With a three-pointer by Hayes-Davis, PAO tied the game at 69-69, 104 seconds before the end of regular time, and no more points were scored until the end.

Hernangomez missed a three-pointer for the lead, while Vezenkov missed a chance to secure the title for his team in the final second, sending the game into the first overtime. In it, Oly had a five-point lead (79-74) entering the last two minutes, but Panathinaikos managed to come back and finally tied it at 79-79. PAO could have finished the job earlier, but Toliopoulos missed a three-pointer in the last second.

The decision came in the second overtime, where Shorts took the initiative, hit several tough shots, and secured Game 5 for his team, which will decide the Greek champion.
