The Sports Judge imposed fresh sanctions after Game 4 of the Greek League Finals

Panathinaikos has received additional sanctions following Game 4 of the Greek League Finals against Olympiacos.

According to the decision of the Sports Judge, Kendrick Nunn’s long-term partner has been banned from entering all sports venues for one year after reportedly grabbing referee Petros Papapetrou by the sleeve and verbally abusing him during the double-overtime clash at OAKA.

The club was also handed a two-game behind-closed-doors punishment for failing to cooperate with authorities in removing her from the courtside area. Those sanctions come on top of the one-game suspension already imposed by DEAB, meaning Panathinaikos currently faces a total of three home games without fans.

In addition, Panathinaikos was fined a total of €90,000 for several incidents involving spectators seated courtside and near the team bench.

Club owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos was also sanctioned, receiving a one-year ban from all arenas and a €50,000 fine for statements deemed damaging to the sport. Panathinaikos was ordered to pay an additional €50,000 fine for the actions of its owner.

The latest penalties come amid heightened tensions throughout the Stoiximan GBL Finals series between Panathinaikos and Olympiacos.
