Olympiacos and Panathinaikos proceeded comfortable victories and no problems against AEK and Aris for the Greek Basket League semifinals, making the 2-0 with relative ease.

Reigning champions Olympiacos defeated AEK 80 – 67, facing resistance only in the first quarter and controlling all aspects of the match after the mid of the second period. Matt Lojeski was highly aggressive, finishing the match with 17 points and 5 rebounds, while for AEK, Dimitris Mavroeidis was again his team’s top performer with a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds.

During the second period a highly unfortunate incident took place between Jure Zdovc and Taurean Green, when a fight almost ensued between the Slovenian coach of AEK and the team’s player.

In Dimitris Diamantidis’ 36th birthday, Panathinaikos wasn’t troubled at all versus Aris, winning the match 74 – 60. Coach Pedoulakis’ players forced their opponents into many turnovers and made the most of them on the other side of the court. Six players of the Greens scored in double-digits, with Nick Calathes having 12 points, plus 7 assists. Okaro White delivered a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds but shot with 3/9 from the field.
