Without any official explanation Spiros Gondas, Giannis Foufis, Ilias Koromilas and Petros Papapetrou are left out of the Greek competitions, a decision taken by the Greek federation which is in charge of the referees in Greece after the new conflict between FIBA and the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.

The four referees have taken their case to the court and won, however, according to Olympiacos the Greek federation has not complied yet with the decision: “Just last week and after 16 months of unjustified behavior, the central refereeing committee sent two of those referees in second division games. This week they did the same, keeping them practically out of the upcoming Greek Cup final between our club and AEK”.

Olympiacos asked the help of the Greek sports deputy minister Giorgos Vasiliadis on the case in order for the four referees to be fully functional again in every domestic competition.
