Despite playing minus captain Vassilis Spanoulis who sit out the game for rest reasons, Olympiacos faced no problems against Aris Thessaloniki and won 86 – 66 at home.
Vangelis Mantzaris and Ioannis Papapetrou scored 15 points apiece for the Reds while Nikola Milutinov flirted with the double-double after notching 10 points plus and 8 rebounds. In his Greek League debut, Bobby Brown finished with 8 points for the Reds that were in total control for the vast majority of the game.
Lefteris Bochorides led Aris with 13 while former Olympiacos player Giannis Athinaiou scored 9, as many as Dimitris Flionis.
Yesterday, Greek League standings leader Panathinaikos extended its unscathed winning streak by beating Promitheas Patras thanks to a fantastic 3-pointer outing and Marcus Denmon blazing from beyond the arc.
