PAO stays undefeated with road win against Panionios – HEBA Day 5 Recap

After a slow start, Panathinaikos took over and recorded a routine win against Panionios on the road on Day 5 of Greek League.

Panathinaikos had everything under control against Panionios as they recorded an 88- 67 road win on Day 5 of Greek League.

Keith Langford led the ‘Greens’ with 12 points and four assists while Ian Vougioukas helped with 12 points and four rebounds. Nikos Pappas added 11 points.

For Panionios, Nondas Papantoniou scored game-high 17 points in addition to Darnell Harris’ 15 points.

The hosts had an early 10-6 start but PAO turned the tables quickly and never let go. They were up by eight after ten minutes (28-20) eventually going on the halftime break with a 48-37 lead. They held their distance after the break also increasing the advantage constantly and securing the win.

On Sunday (11/11), Nikola Milutinov led Olympiacos to an easy win against Lavrio.

Panathinaikos, Olympiacos and Peristeri hold the top of the standings with perfect 5-0 records while the bottom belongs to Rethymno which still waits for the first win (0-5).
