Williams-Goss, Olympiacos keep Kolossos under control

Nigel Williams-Goss helped Olympiacos come out of the third-quarter crisis and win against Kolossos in the Greek League.

Except for a short ‘down’ period in the third quarter, Olympiacos had everything under control and recorded an 86-67 road win against Kolossos on Day 9 of Greek League.

Nigel Williams-Goss led the way with 16 points, five rebounds and four assists while Nikola Milutinov followed with 14 points and seven rebounds in addition to Zach LeDay’s 11 points.

For Kolossos, Dimitrios Mavroeidis registered a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds while Stevie Browning and Slaven Cupkovic added 13 points each.

The guests were ahead 19-15 after ten minutes and 40-29 at the halftime. Kolossos managed to get close after the break (48-45) but Olympiacos quickly took over again (60-46) and closed the game in their favor without any trouble.

Olympiacos improved to 8-1 and is temporarily holding the top of the standings while Kolossos is at the bottom with a 1-7 record.
