Peristeri beat PAOK Thessaloniki 80 – 75 in a clash between two Basketball Champions League teams that concluded Round 7 in the Greek Basket League.

This result pushed Peristeri to become the sole holder of the second place in the standings with a 6 – 1 record. PAOK, on the other hand, dropped to 2-5  and the 10th spot.

Scoochie Smith and Moses Kingsley scored 15 points apiece for Peristeri that was leading 73 – 49 in the fourth period. PAOK made a 23 – 9 run to try and become more threatening down the stretch but this didn’t change the final outcome.

Adam Smith had 16 points for PAOK.

Greek League defending champion Panathinaikos reacted to the EuroLeague home loss to Alba Berlin by crushing Ionikos Nikaias 107 – 71 behind 21 points by Tyrese Rice. This match marked former EuroLeague champion Sofoklis Schortsanitis’ return to action for an official game after 679 days.
