Los Angeles, CA – After spending 9 years in the NBA, Wesley Johnson moved to Europe for his first EuroLeague experience with Panathinaikos in 2019. The European season was interrupted earlier due to the pandemic, but he managed to win the Greek League.

He averaged 3.3 points and 2.4 rebounds in the EuroLeague, but he has nothing but good words for his moments in Greece. In an interview with Eurohoops, he recalled that experience.

“I remember the energy of the people. The experience of living in such an atmosphere. These are the ones I remember the most. The history of the team and the trophies it has won. In general this whole atmosphere, there is nothing like it”, he said about OAKA and its atmosphere.

“It may be a small adjustment, but the European players who now dominate the NBA have the advantage of starting their careers early. This gives them a first look at what it’s like to play against professionals at such a physical level. All this gives them a boost”, Wesley Johnson added on the dominant Europeans in the NBA.
