Fenerbahce swingman Tarik Biberovic feels confident that his profile as a player is more than suited for the NBA. The Turkish player’s NBA rights are owned by the Memphis Grizzlies, who selected him with the 56th overall pick in 2023.

“Players like me who are physical, can shoot threes and defend are more suitable profiles for the NBA,” Biberovic told Eurohoops. “For example, when we look at the NBA Playoffs, we see that there are 2-3 such players in each team.”

Biberovic definitely isn’t afraid to get physical and can more than shoot threes as he’s been showcasing in both the EuroLeague and the Turkish BSL League. He’s been hitting 32-63 triples so far in the EuroLeague season, along with 48-113 in BSL where he sees more action on the floor.

“Still, I don’t know when the best time will be for me [to play in the NBA], I am very happy at Fenerbahçe right now,” Biberovic added.

Biberovic is currently preparing for the second EuroLeague Final Four of his career. He had debuted in the tournament in 2019, at 18 years of age.

“I’ve changed a lot during this period, both as a player and a person,” Biberovic said. “I went to the Final Four when I was an 18-year-old kid, I don’t know if there is an example of this before in the EuroLeague. Because of what we experienced in the following years, I understood how important it was to make it to the Final Four, and I know its value very well. A lot has changed since 2019, I will continue to appreciate this moment.”

Fener will clash with Panathinaikos Aktor in Berlin’s Uber Arena on Friday. Depending on the outcome of the Semifinals, playing for first or third place on Sunday completes the continental campaign.
