VITORIA-GASTEIZ — After Fenerbahce Beko’s elimination from the championship game of the EuroLeague Final Four, Zeljko Obradovic discussed the team’s injuries on Eurohoops TV and shifted his focus to the Turkish League.
“First of all, we have a game here tomorrow that is never easy to play. We need to change the “chip” and be ready for the Turkish League. We are experienced in this. But the key is to change the “chip” and be ready for any kind of competition. So it’s no different this time”, coach Obradovic commented.
“Obviously injuries were the main issue for us. But not just because two players didn’t play. Two players adjusted through three practices, but the problem was that for almost 40 days we worked without four players. So this is everything that was wrong for us. It was tough with only two big guys, Ahmet [Duverioglu] and Nicolo Melli“.
“As you said, we’re not looking for an excuse, we will discuss it inside of the team and this is how it is”
