This was PBL’s weekend (which this season is organized by “rival” league VTB) but nothing really changed for CSKA Moscow. With Milos Teodosic (photo) scoring 20 points and using Drew Nicholas for just three minutes, maybe for the last time, the “army team” beat Spartak 78-68 and has a 3-0 record in the league. It was just the first defeat for the team from Saint Petersburg which has a 4-1 record.

However, the biggest surprise of the day was the impressive win of Unics Kazan again Lokomotiv Kuban by 28 points (75-47). Each team has in its rosters two former Panathinaikos players and Euroleague champions. Unics has Kaimakoglou and Vougioukas and Lokomotiv Nick Calathes and Maric. Here are Sunday’s boxscores.
