In one of the LKL’s most exciting clashes, Zalgiris survived, scoring just eight points in the second period, and took the win in the final quarter

A true rollercoaster of a game in Kaunas, as Zalgiris defeated Lietkabelis 85-77 in one of the most exciting match-ups of LKL.

Tomas Dimsa led the winning side with 17 points, Keenan Evans added 13, and Laurynas Birutus 11 points.

The Estonian Kristian Kullamae led the team from Panevezys with 16 points, Paulijus Murauskas and Mantas Rubstavicius scored 15 each, while Vytenis Lipkevicius added 14 points.

Zalgiris dominantly opened the game and had a 12-point lead after the first ten minutes but then scored just eight points until halftime, and Lietkabelis went to the break with a 37-32 lead.

The hosts picked themselves up and turned everything around in the third quarter. They grabbed the eight-point lead in the final minutes with a 14-run. Lietkabeklis tied the game in the last 10 minutes, but Zalgiris responded strongly, got to a double-digit surplus, and won in the end.
